Project-based learning involves students in active learning. Students are presented with a problem, then work in teams to research adn identify a solution to the problem.
In this environment, students naturally integrate knowledge from a variety of disciplines, learn to work in a team environment, and integrate these skills in application-based experiences. Where there is no single correct answer, students learn to think "outside thebox."
Throughout work on a project, students must have a strong foundation in general skills to ensure that they will work productively both individually and as part of a team.
