Power Electronics Training System (8032)

0.2-kW Electromechanical Training System (8001)

The 0.2 kW Electromechanical System (EMS) is a modular program presented in four units on low-power, industrial type equipment.

All machines have cutaway bell housings to permit visual inspection of the internal construction, and a separate power supply for each workstation provides total control of the necessary power sources (including three-phase), thereby eliminating interference with other concurrent laboratory experiments.

The course includes additional applications dealing with various techniques associated with the generation and use of electrical energy.

Computer-Assisted 0.2-kW Electromechanical Training System (8006)

Model 8006 is a Computer-Assisted version of Model 8001 0.2 kW Electromechanical Training System (EMS).

This modular program provides new opportunities for laboratory observations in the study of electric power technology.

Presented in a basic subsystem and special applications format, the program incorporates various techniques used in industrial settings to generate and use electrical energy.

The basic system covers power circuits, transformers, and common AC/DC machines, while special applications cover less common machines and equipment.

Courseware for the basic system is presented in two student manuals, either in Computer-Based Learning (CBL) or standard hard copy formats. Courseware for Special Applications is available in hard copy format only.

Control of Industrial Motors - Training System (8045)

The Lab-Volt Control of Industrial Motors Training System consists of industrial control components and courseware correlated to equipment through the use of block, wiring, and schematic diagrams.

Mechanical and electrical assembly of control circuits is accomplished without the use of hand tools.

0.2-kW Electric Power Transmission Training System (8055)

The Lab-Volt Electric Power Transmission Training System consists of modular hardware and corresponding software that enables students to observe voltage regulation, real and reactive power flow control, and system stability.

This system also makes it possible for students to observe electrical phenomena through the effects of voltage transients and power oscillations.
