Wind Power Technology (8216, 86618, 86630)
The Wind Power Technology equipment mainly consists of the Wind Turbine Generator/Controller, Model 8216-0, and the Wind Turbine Demonstrator, Model 8216-D.
By installing the Wind Turbine Generator/Controller into a Lab Volt EMS workstation and coupling it to a Four-Quadrant Dynamometer/Power Supply (Model 8960) operating as a wind turbine rotor emulator, students can study the wind turbine operation and small-scale production of electrical energy in the same way as if wind were blowing onto the bladed rotor of the wind turbine, but without having to wait for wind to blow at the desired speed.
